maintenance: Including
self-care, sleep, rest, recreation.
Play:
Sensorimotor
exploration, symbolic activities such as art and drama, crafts and
games. The behaviors and skills acquired through play are a foundation
to adult competence and achievement.
Work:
Educational and
pre-vocational activities of the child.
Through activities,
occupational therapy affects productivity by
addressing specific needs in the areas of physical motor skills such as
gross, fine and oral motor. It also addresses specific needs in sensory
motor and self care skills.
